Pandemic pricing entertains
An American car dealer unleashed a special marketing ploy early on in the Covid-19 pandemic as he paired essential sanitary supplies with a used vehicle for sale.
In the tongue-in-cheek video below he outlines a US$6,995 deal for toilet rolls, tissues, hand sanitiser and paper towels, with a Ford Expedition SUV thrown in for free.
Posing in a hazard suit, the dealer from Open Lot Used Cars in Las Vegas got creative for the online commercial and amusingly shows off the cargo space of the “zombie-apocalypse-ready” vehicle by lounging in the back with a pile of essential supplies.
