Omoda 4 goes Ultra
Omoda Jaecoo has unveiled the sporty Omoda 4 Ultra off the back of revealing the marque’s next generation of products.
Featuring the Omoda 4’s already “cyber mecha” design, the Ultra takes things to another level by adding an attention-grabbing yellow colour option, distinct rear spoiler and larger 19-inch alloys.
The new variant boasts the latest iteration of the company’s super hybrid system (SHS), dubbed SHS-H. Unlike the J7 SHS and Omoda 9 SHS, which run a plug-in hybrid set-up, the 4 Ultra is powered by a series-parallel hybrid system.
Offering quiet smoothness like an EV in eco mode and power in sport mode, it can accelerate from 0-100kph in eight seconds. Production is slated for 2026 with timings yet to be confirmed for New Zealand.
