New SUV in $30k bracket

Jaecoo has announced pricing for its first model in New Zealand – the J7 – will be less than $40,000 when it arrives in showrooms next month.
The SUV will debut with a petrol-powered 1.6T turbocharged engine that is coupled with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.
It also comes equipped with an all-road drive intelligent system and features nearly 20 advanced driver-assistance system functions.
Sheldon Humphries, country manager of Omoda Jaecoo New Zealand, says he is looking forward to launching the Jaecoo brand in this country with pricing for the J7 to be in the $30,000 bracket, plus on-road costs.
“Bringing the J7 to our market is a significant milestone, and the competitive pricing structure we’ve developed means more Kiwis can experience the cutting-edge technology, exceptional performance and comprehensive safety features we are known for,” he adds.
“We believe this launch will not only broaden our customer base but also set a new standard for value and innovation in the off-roading market.”
A full pricing announcement will be made in July.
