New role at association
The AA has appointed Jenni Ryan to the newly created role of chief marketing officer to develop its membership offer and build on the brand’s legacy as it approaches its 120th year.
“We are thrilled to welcome Jenni in this new role focused on uniting all our brand and communication touchpoints, and driving engagement with our members to ensure our member-value proposition remains compelling for another 120 years,” says Nadine Tereora, chief executive officer.
Ryan, pictured, is an experienced executive with four years as the CEO of the Skin Institute Group, and a decade working at The Warehouse Group focused on brand and marketing, including some time as chief customer officer.
She joins the AA in May following an interim role as chief customer officer at My Food Bag where she led teams focusing on understanding, engaging with and enhancing customer experience.
Tereora adds: “Jenni has a proven track record in engaging customers through multi-channel campaigns, driving loyalty and delivering experiences that uniquely reflect brand values.
“She is a natural leader, displays an impressive commitment to the personal development of her people, and is known for her positive and inclusive style. Her energy, passion and determination to make a difference set her apart, and makes her the ideal person to be the AA’s first chief marketing officer.”
Set to celebrate 120 years in May, the appointment reflects a new era for the organisation, which has refreshed its strategic direction to future-proof its products and services to align with New Zealanders’ needs.
“Many Kiwis have grown up with the brand. As we embark on our journey to ensure a successful and sustainable future, it’s timely to establish a position that will guide our membership product, brand and marketing evolution.”
