New ride-share service for Kiwis

A European ride-hailing platform has launched in Auckland as the company seeks to disrupt the New Zealand market.
Bolt, which already operates in more than 600 cities across 50 countries, says its expansion here is a significant step in its mission to reshape urban mobility globally.
It plans to expand its services nationwide and will compete with existing ride-sharing services Uber and DiDi.
Adam Muirson, Bolt New Zealand general manager, says the ride-hailing market here has had limited options for too long.
“Bolt introduces real competition and a smarter alternative to owning a car to help Kiwis move around cities more affordably, efficiently and with greater choice,” he adds.
Bolt says its app has been built with rider and driver safety as a top priority and includes 24/7 customer support and real-time ride tracking.
