New outlook on logistics

Keisuke Nagashima has been appointed the new business development manager at Jacanna in Auckland.

He took up the job in May after previously working as director of Bordercheck from January 2017 to September 2025.

Other past roles include more than seven years as general manager at Autohub, from 2013 to 2021, and he spent two years before that as marketing co-ordinator at Brake & Transmission Ltd.

Nagashima, pictured, is also a director, producer, photographer and a competitive driver at 86Fighters, which specialises in media production for the automotive and motorsport industries.

He says Jacanna deals with vehicles and also has facilities to handle general cargo, and less-than-container-load and full-container-load operations, which “opens up a new avenue for someone like me who has predominantly been vehicle-focused”.

“One of the things that makes New Zealand unique is our location. As an island nation located far from major global manufacturing hubs, efficient logistics and supply chain management are critical to keeping our economy moving,” Nagashima told Autofile.

“I am responsible for bringing new business to Jacanna, whether that be in vehicle, parts, farming, machinery and/or general cargo industries.

“Businesses rely on trusted logistics partners to ensure products move seamlessly across international borders and arrive where they are needed, when they are needed.

“This gives me a new outlook on how to produce a logistics solution that is win-win for both the customer and us.

“I want to contribute to building a stronger, more resilient supply chain network that supports New Zealand businesses and our economy for years to come.”
