New look for 3 Series
The latest version of the BMW 3 Series launches in New Zealand next month and the marque says it will bring refreshed styling, advances in digitalisation and enhanced levels of equipment.
The 3 Series, which first appeared in 1975, has sold 16 million units and currently accounts for 14 per cent of BMW’s sales worldwide.
It made up 11.5 per cent of BMW New Zealand’s sales in 2021 and 509 units of the current generation have sold here since its launch in 2019.
A number of styling details on the new BMW 3 Series have been revised, including new front and rear aprons, redesigned LED headlights and a revamped grille.
The M Sport Package is offered as standard on all New Zealand 3 Series sedan and touring models and delivers M light-alloy wheels in 18 or 19-inch format with mixed-size tyres.
On the inside, the sedan and touring cars boast a 12.3-inch information display behind the steering wheel that merges into a 14.9-inch control display to form a single high-resolution unit that utilises touch and voice control. An automatic climate control system also comes as standard.
BMW NZ will be offering the sedan in 320i, 330e plug-in hybrid and M340i xDrive variants, while the touring model comes solely as the 320d xDrive.
Engines across the line-up are paired with an eight-speed steptronic sport transmission.
Driver-assistance technologies include lane-departure warning, lane-change warning, front and rear collision warning, and a range of parking-assist functions.
Pricing for the 3 Series starts at $86,000.
