New era with GranTurismo
The GranTurismo is now available at dealerships in New Zealand and Australia, marking the start of an era that traces its roots back 77 years to Maserati’s A6 1500.
Integrating the high-performance features typical of a sports car with the long-distance comfort of a grand tourer, the GranTurismo is offered with internal combustion engines and, from quarter one of 2025, with an innovative 100 per cent electric version.
The model, pictured, strikes an “artful balance of elegance and practicality” with its easily identifiable lines accentuating a sleek profile.
Conceived at the Maserati Innovation Lab and manufactured at the Mirafiori production centre in Turin, the coupe integrates the groundbreaking V6 Nettuno engine, available in two variations – the Modena, featuring the three-litre V6 Nettuno Twin Turbo, and the high-performance Trofeo.
Arriving next year, the GranTurismo Folgore adopts a fully electric powertrain employing 800-volt technology developed using technical solutions from Formula E to deliver exceptional performance through three potent 300kW permanent magnet motors.
“With the arrival of the GranTurismo, new GranCabrio due in local showrooms this September and upcoming deliveries of the exclusive MCXtrema, these are exciting times for Maserati,” says Grant Barling, general manager on Maserati Australia and New Zealand.
“July saw 46 customer deliveries across the network – an increase of 15 per cent over June – and one of our strongest July order banks to kick off the new financial year.
“As a recent statement from the Stellantis Group indicated, there is an unwavering commitment to Maserati’s mission to write the future of performance and luxury, and it’s a commitment wholeheartedly matched by Maserati Australia and New Zealand.”
