New Couriers hit showrooms

Ford New Zealand has announced the arrival of its next-generation Transit Courier and Tourneo Courier at dealerships across the country.

The marque says the vehicles bring a new era of compact versatility, advanced technology and smart design to the New Zealand market.

The all-new Ford Transit Courier, pictured above, is designed to be a compact option for urban deliveries and small trade businesses.

In New Zealand, Ford is launching with the Double-Cab-in-Van (DCiV) body style that boasts seating for five, up to 2.4 cubic metres of cargo volume and a payload capacity of up to 750kg.

It also features an eight-inch Sync 4 touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to help keep businesses connected while on the go.

Ford’s Tourneo Courier, pictured below, is also now in showrooms and is described as a “stylish and practical multi-activity vehicle with SUV-inspired design cues”.

It seats five people, has luggage space of up to 2.4 cubic metres when the rear seats are folded forward, and features a Sync 4 infotainment system with an 8-inch touchscreen and conversational voice control.

Both models are powered by a 1.0-litre Ford EcoBoost petrol engine and come equipped with a suite of advanced driver-assistance systems as standard, including pre-collision assist, intelligent speed assist, traffic sign recognition, driver alert, wrong-way alert and rear parking aid.

The Tourneo Courier also has intelligent adaptive cruise control, blind spot information system, cross traffic alert and evasive steering assist.

Mathew Slade, Ford NZ’s marketing director, says: “The introduction of the all-new Transit Courier and Tourneo Courier marks a significant step in our commitment to providing New Zealanders with smart, versatile and capable vehicles.

“We understand the diverse demands of our customers, from small business owners navigating cityscapes to families embarking on weekend adventures.

“These vehicles are designed to meet those needs with a blend of practicality, advanced technology and the renowned Ford durability.”

The Transit Courier (DCiV) has a recommended retail price (RRP) of $49,990 plus on-road costs (ORCs), while the Tourneo Courier Active’s RRP is $55,990 plus ORCs.
