Ezi Car Rental has appointed Anthony Kearns as its next chief executive officer after the company was recently acquired by Toyota Financial Services.

Kearns, pictured, previously spent nearly two years as dealer principal at Archibalds in Christchurch and described his new job as a “significant milestone in my career journey”.

He will work alongside Ezi’s outgoing chief executive officer, Kevin Walker, as he transitions into the Auckland-based role.

Kearns spent more than 20 years working at dealerships in Australia before taking on the chief executive officer position at Auckland City Toyota from 2014 to 2019.

Senior roles at Armstrong’s, including group chief operating officer and dealer principal in Wellington, followed before he headed to Archibalds in 2021.

Sharing news of his appointment to Ezi on LinkedIn, Kearns says he is committed to driving the continued growth and success of the company.

“I’m eager to contribute to the development of people delivering affordable and accessible mobility solutions for all,” he adds.
