New boss for Nissan Oceania

Steve Milette is joining Nissan Oceania as its managing director on April 1 when he takes over from Andrew Humberstone.

Milette joined the company in 2017 in Canada as vice-president of sales and later served more than five years as president of Nissan Canada.

He is now based at Nissan’s North American headquarters in Franklin, Tennessee, serving as division vice-president for dealer network development, customer resources, training and customer experience for Nissan and Infiniti in the US and Canada.

Milette, pictured above, holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from McGill University in Montreal, Quebec, as well as a dual master of business administration from Université du Québec à Montréal and Université Paris Dauphine.

Massimiliano Messina, chairperson of the AMIEO (Africa, Middle East, India, Europe and Oceania) region, says: “I would like to thank Andrew [pictured below] for his leadership over the past two years, and for developing a strong roadmap for Australia and New Zealand.

“The plan developed under his leadership provides a robust foundation for Nissan’s next phase of growth and will serve as a blueprint for Steve to build on. With a range of exciting new products coming to Oceania that defy ordinary, I look forward to Steve applying his customer-first approach to bringing these to market.”

Humberstone is returning to Europe to take up a new senior role at the company’s regional headquarters in Paris.
