MG Motor New Zealand has announced the appointment of Harrie Yan to the new position of chief operating officer after the resignation of its country manager, Arek Zywot.

Yan spent six years with MG Motor Australia, including a spell as business director, before taking up his latest role on July 18.

Zywot, pictured, stepped down from his position at the New Zealand operation a little more than a year after being appointed to the job in June 2023.

A spokesperson for MG Motor NZ says the management changes coincide with its growth plans, reports NZ Autocar

“Arek Zywot has had the best interests of MG Motor front and centre, and this decision reiterates that,” they add.

“On behalf of the business, we sincerely thank him for his contributions throughout the past year.

“As a result, Harrie Yan has been appointed to the new role of chief operating officer for MG Motor New Zealand.”
