BMW Group has announced Vikram Pawah, the President of BMW India, will be taking on the role of CEO for the Australian and New Zealand operation.

BMW Group has announced that on 1st August 2018, Vikram Pawah will take over from Marc Werner as the new chief executive for the Australian and New Zealand operation, encompassing the BMW, Mini and Motorrad brands. 

Pawah, currently the President of BMW India, joined the BMW Group in 2017 and brings more than twenty-five years of automotive experience to the role.

In addition to his new role, Pawah will remain connected to the Indian market and has been appointed Chairman of BMW Group India.

“It gives me great pleasure to welcome Vikram to his expanded role," said Hildegard Wortmann, senior vice president of the BMW Group Asia Pacific.

"With his extensive international industry experience and broad-based skillset, Vikram will bring a fresh perspective to the Australian market."

Marc Werner will return to Munich to focus fully on his new role as Regional Director for Asia/Pacific, South Africa, Russia and Importer Markets for Mini.
