MTF Finance’s team grows
MTF Finance has further strengthened its executive leadership team by appointing two experienced financial-services leaders as the company continues to invest in the “capability, expertise and people” needed to support its next phase of growth.
Laurette Lane has joined the team as chief credit officer with Joe Bond becoming chief commercial officer. Combined, they have more than four decades of experience across New Zealand’s finance, automotive and banking sectors.
Chris Lamers, chief executive officer, says the appointments reflect the organisation’s continued focus on building a high-performing leadership team capable of delivering on its long-term strategy.
He adds: “MTF Finance is at an exciting point in its journey. We are continuing to invest in our people, technology, products and customer experience. Attracting leaders of this calibre is a strong signal of the opportunities ahead for our business.
“Laurette and Joe bring extensive leadership experience, deep industry knowledge and a strong alignment with our values. They will play an important role in helping us continue to grow, innovate and deliver exceptional outcomes for customers, shareholders, franchises and business partners.”
Lane is joining MTF Finance from Toyota Finance NZ where she currently leads the credit operations and customer service teams. Over her career, she has held senior leadership roles with Toyota Finance, ASB, UDC and ANZ, developing expertise in consumer, commercial and asset finance lending.
Her appointment comes as MTF Finance continues to evolve its lending and customer-experience capabilities while maintaining a strong focus on responsible lending and client outcomes.
“Laurette brings an outstanding combination of credit expertise, operational leadership and customer focus,” says Lamers. “She has led large teams through significant change and has a proven ability to balance strong commercial outcomes with positive customer experiences.”
Joining the executive team in June, Bond has more than 20 years’ experience gained across the automotive and finance industries.
He also joins MTF Finance from Toyota Finance NZ where he has spent the past four years as head of sales. Before this, he held leadership roles with Honda NZ and BMW Financial Services NZ, building experience across sales, business development and customer-relationship management.
Having started his career as a mechanic before progressing through parts, vehicle sales and finance positions, Bond brings a practical understanding of the car industry and the evolving needs of customers and dealer partners into his new role.
“Joe is a highly respected commercial leader with deep industry relationships and a strong track record of delivering growth,” says Lamers.
“His experience working closely with dealer networks and customers across the country makes him an excellent fit for MTF Finance as we continue to strengthen our position as New Zealand’s local money experts.”
The two appointments come as MTF Finance continues to invest in its long-term growth strategy, including technology transformation, product development and enhancements in customer experience, which are designed to support more New Zealanders with their lending needs.
