MTF has announced the winners of its 2025 Dealer Awards, which celebrate standout performance, customer excellence and leadership across its network.

There was double success for 1 Stop Motors in Auckland after it won the culture of responsibility award and Veronica Moretti scooped the prize for staff excellence.

Auto Mates Cars was crowned the best-performing new dealership and the business excellence award went to Buythiscar, with both businesses also being Auckland-based.

The winners were announced when 11 finalists from across the country celebrated aboard a coastal cruise along the North Island.

Chris Lamers, chief executive officer, says the event was designed to recognise the dedication and results delivered by MTF-aligned dealerships over the past year.

“MTF’s model is built around strong, long-term partnerships, and that’s especially true across our dealer network,” he adds.

“With 60 recourse dealers nationwide, our structure allows us to tailor support in a way that works for the realities of the motor industry and ultimately, helps more Kiwis access lending that fits their needs.”

The awards also acknowledged the wider finalist group, including Dee Loku of Auckland’s Patel Motors and Aleisha Sullivan from Buythiscar in the staff excellence category.

MIG Cars in Christchurch and 1 Stop Motors were finalists in the business excellence section, while Black & White Motor Company in Christchurch and Cleverleys in Balclutha contended the culture of responsibility gong, and Auckland’s Azak Vans vied for the best-performing new dealership honour.

Lamers notes MTF’s approach aims to build trust with consumers and drive repeat business for its dealer partners. “This year’s winners and finalists are a great example of that shared success.”
