Miles Skoda wins top dealer title
Miles Skoda has been crowned the marque’s dealer of the year to add to three other honours it claimed at the brand’s annual dealership awards.
The Christchurch business also won the service team, parts team and customer service excellence prizes for 2023 and was a runner-up in the sales team of the year section.
Members of the Skoda New Zealand management team visited Miles Skoda on July 19 to announce and present the awards. Lyric Newton, showroom administrator, was recognised individually with a leading customer service gong.
Jodie Tait, general manager of Miles Skoda, notes that at the previous year’s awards the dealership received recognition for its work with the New Zealand Police but didn’t make the top three for any of the other categories.
“It was at that point my team said, ‘We are going to be dealer of the year next year’,” he adds.
“From that point on, the team’s focus and dedication to ensuring we were in the running began.
“After implementing a few changes, we were off and running. Customer experience is the key to any business’s success, and my team is proof of that.
“Just like an NRL premiership we now must defend our title. I couldn’t be prouder of these guys and their achievements.”
Other winners in Skoda NZ’s national dealership awards 2023 were Ebbett Skoda in Hamilton scooping the sales team title and Tristram Skoda in Auckland taking out the marketing team category.
