MG gains two more dealers
MG’s success in New Zealand continues and the brand will soon be closer to a larger number of potential new buyers with 18 sales locations around the country.
Growth in this key area is part of the marque’s long-term network strategy to ensure it is represented across the nation with the appointment of two new dealership sites.
“On behalf of the wider MG team, I would like to welcome Manukau MG and Ebbett Rotorua MG [pictured] to our network,” says Arek Zywot, MG New Zealand country manager.
“The new dealerships are joining MG at an exciting and pivotal time just before we launch the new MG4, the first fully electric vehicle to be available for sub-$40,000 post rebate.”
He adds two new dealerships are a vote of confidence in the growing brand and add to increasing representation around the country to make MGs more accessible, and to provide enhanced levels of after-sales and servicing capability.
“In addition to more dealer representation, the number of MG-owning families is growing as is our market share,” says Zywot.
“From humble beginnings of 681 vehicle sales in 2019 to more than 5,300 last year and almost 3,000 in the first six months of 2023, MG is shooting some great goals.
“Everyone associated with the brand is proud of what we’ve been able to achieve and is also excited by what the future holds. It’s a great time to be part of something so fresh, dynamic and full of promise.”
The marque now has 14 dealerships across the North Island and four on the South Island.
