Marque reveals new SUV line-up
Ford New Zealand has announced the 2022 Everest will be available here in three variants, Trend, Sport and the range-topping Platinum, and come with two different engines.
The marque has revealed the line-up and full specifications of the next-generation SUV that has a towing capability of 3,500kg across the range.
A three-litre V6 turbo diesel engine, which boasts 184kW of power and 600Nm of torque, is featured in the Sport and Platinum variants, while the Trend is powered by a two-litre bi-turbo diesel that produces figures of 154kW and 500Nm, respectively.
The engines are paired with a 10-speed automatic gearbox and the new Everest has six drive modes, with four for on-road and two for off-road conditions.
Safety features of the SUV include a range of collision mitigation systems, while driver-assist technology includes front and rear parking sensors, automatic headlights and the Platinum variant, pictured, also has fully automated parking aid.
The Trend variant is decked out with 18-inch alloy wheels, the Sport with 20-inch black alloys and the Platinum gets a set of 21-inch alloy wheels along with a panoramic roof.
Inside drivers will find leather seats, keyless entry and a push-button start, and the infotainment features are headlined by a SYNC 4A-enabled 12-inch touchscreen and a fully digital instrument cluster.
