Marque rejigs warranties

MG Motor New Zealand has announced details of its new warranty policies, which have applied to all newly registered MG vehicles from the start of this month.

For non-commercial customers, the company continues to offer up to 10 years or 250,000km of coverage, provided all scheduled servicing is completed at an authorised MG dealership.

Meanwhile, commercial customers receive a seven-year or 160,000km warranty.

The MG U9, pictured, a light commercial vehicle that is set to hit the market this year, gets a different warranty scheme.

When serviced exclusively at an MG dealership, the ute will have a seven-year or 200,000km warranty, which drops to five years or 160,000km for commercial operators.

Kenneth Lu, head of after-sales at MG Motor Australia and New Zealand, says: “Our new warranty programme reflects our commitment to supporting owners at every stage of their journey, from the first drive to long-term ownership, with greater choice and enduring value.”
