Limited run for special-edition Ford
Ford NZ has launched the special-edition BaseCamp variant of its Everest as more Kiwis opt for off-roading adventures.
“Our travel choices changed during and in the wake of Covid-19,” says Simon Rutherford, managing director. “We’re taking more road trips and venturing further afield when we do.
“Now, with the Everest BaseCamp, we’re offering more choice for customers to take to the roads in vehicles that make discovering our country fun, easy, safe and comfortable.”
The BaseCamp has a limited run of 50 and is priced at $72,990 plus on-road costs. It offers a two-litre bi-turbo engine and four-wheel drive.
It features a 76mm diameter black nudge bar, LED light bar, snorkel, tow bar rated to 3,100kg, cloth seats and seating for up to seven people.
The styling includes BaseCamp decals on both front doors, a bolder grey-painted grille, and front and rear bumper skids.
