Kia wins top gong

Kia has taken out the top accolade at the 2025 Roy Morgan New Zealand Customer Satisfaction Awards.

The company has won the best of the best title, which is reserved for the single brand with the highest overall customer satisfaction across all industries, and was also named car manufacturer of the year.

About 7,000 Kiwis were asked to rate their satisfaction with brands and service providers across 22 industry categories.

“Kia has been performing strongly in satisfaction since late 2021 and maintains its performance, allowing it to achieve four out of four quarterly wins,” says Michele Levine, chief executive officer of Roy Morgan.

“With the overall highest satisfaction across all measured categories, known for its precision engineering and exceptional service, Kia consistently delivers an experience that resonates deeply with its customers.”

Kia NZ’s managing director, Todd McDonald, says: “It’s a huge privilege to be recognised as winner of the car manufacturer of the year as well as taking the overall best of the best award, especially considering it is voted for by thousands of Kiwis.

“Kia’s latest achievement underscores the strength and trust in the brand, not only in the vehicles showcased in showrooms but in the people who make it possible.

“Central to this success is Kia’s robust dealer network, which ensures customers receive exceptional service and support at every touchpoint. Together with the dedicated team at head office, our dealers form the backbone of our continued growth and reputation for excellence.

“The Kia portfolio is world-class and an award such as this demonstrates our vehicles are winning fans across the country.

“As we prepare ourselves for a new year, I have high aspirations there will be a new model for every Kiwi, ranging from the all-electric PV5 van, Tasman ute as well as a huge variety of HEV and zero-emissions vehicles. Our commitment remains clear – delivering exceptional experiences for every Kia driver.”

Other winners in the Roy Morgan awards included AA Insurance – major insurer of 2025 and Super Cheap Auto – auto store of the year.
