The Kia Sorento has been named Car of the Year 2021 by a team of expert judges from an Australian motoring website.
The team at Drive chose the SUV, pictured above, ahead of six other finalists for the annual honour. Available with either 2WD petrol or AWD diesel powertrains, they describe the model as a “comfortable and practical all-rounder that works as well out in regional areas as it does around town”.
More than 80 vehicles across 25 categories were put through their paces for the Drive Car of the Year Awards, which is in its 15th year.
The other finalists for the top gong were the Skoda Kamiq, Ford Puma, Land Rover Defender, Mercedes-AMG A45 AMG, Audi e-Tron and the Isuzu D-Max. Last year’s overall winner was the Toyota RAV4.
