KGM hybrid turns heads
The all-new KGM Torres Hybrid is now officially on sale as an entrant in the midsize SUV market, combining modern hybrid efficiency with a standout design.
The Hybrid and Hybrid Ultimate have introductory prices, excluding on-road costs, of $49,990 and $54,990 respectively until January 31, 2026, or while stocks last.

Developed with BYD, the world’s second largest EV battery producer, the SUV’s dual tech hybrid system is a strong hybrid that maximises the efficiency and advantages of the electric motors and internal combustion engine.
It combines a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine (220Nm) with in-series dual motors (300Nm) for total output of 150kW through the dedicated e-DHT transmission, achieving a combined fuel consumption of 5.6l/100km on the NEDC.
The system enables the Torres Hybrid to switch between electric-only, hybrid and engine-only power. It means the SUV can be driven up to 94 per cent of the time on battery power in urban driving conditions.
On motorways, the system blends engine and motor power for with all-electric driving possible up to 100kph supported by a three-level regenerative braking system with smart traffic-adaptive control.
The Torres Hybrid stands out from the crowd with a distinctive exterior, Inside, the cabin has modern styling with practicality and has heated front seats.
Features including a dual 12.3-inch panoramic display, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and the new Athena 2.0 user interface optimised with energy-flow visualisation.
Driver-assist technologies include autonomous emergency braking, blind-spot detection and lane-keep assist, while high-tensile steel construction maximises occupant protection. The SUV comes with a five-year warranty included, or for 100,000km, whichever comes first.
