National Auto Sales Manager

Location: Auckland

We are a large, well-established, NZ owned specialist non-bank lender with 30 years proven experience and stability in the market. We love helping clients achieve their financial goals through our diverse product offering and supportive team.

This Auckland-based National Sales Manager role has been newly created to support our Head of Auto & Consumer to achieve Avanti’s strategy to be recognised as having a complete and cohesive finance offering, in both the New and Used Vehicle markets for a broad range of customers.

The role will also manage the Avanti Group Dealer network in New Zealand, and grow and nurture Key Account and Distributor relationships across the country.


The successful candidate will have:

Experience in the new vehicle distribution market.

Worked with wholesale / floorplan funding in their career to date.

Dealer finance experience across Auto Tiers 1 and 2 lending.

Dealer experience and be able to problem solve for results in order to build a trusting, long-term relationship.

People-management experience, able to demonstrate growth in individuals from coaching and development ‘on the job’.


In the role, you will be:

Managing budgets, strategy, and long-term goals with specific focus on the Auto Dealer Market.

Proactive in establishing new referral networks with Dealers, and  with Motor Vehicle Distributors.

Creating Key Account Strategy with monthly  reviews, call plans and objectives, and ongoing updates and training plans for introducers to support self and wider team.

Providing management support and coaching to Auto & Consumer BDM’s including  targets, compliance, and relationship management.


The National Sales Managers’ in NZ and Australia will grow and nurture the Avanti Group Introducer network in both countries to ensure strong relationships are embedded in the remits that Avanti operates in.

This role is a public facing role and as such we have currently assessed as needing to be fully Covid-19 vaccinated.
