Insurer repeats award win

Tower Insurance has scooped Canstar’s Car Insurer of the Year Award for the second year running after claiming the inaugural title in 2021.

The award judges decide who gets the honour based on a combination of value, product and service performance, and customer satisfaction.

Tower and partner Trade Me also won 2022 gongs for outstanding value car insurance, which repeated their successes in 2021. FMG also picked up an outstanding value car insurance award this year.

Michelle James, Tower managing director – Tower Direct, says the company is proud to have clinched the top honour and is committed to making insurance easy and hassle-free.

“Tower’s focus on innovation and investment in large-scale digital transformation has enabled the business to keep pace with the changing needs and modern lifestyles of

Kiwi and Pacific communities, in line with the latest in technology and customer expectations,” she adds.

Canstar explains it brings together an expert panel to assess various elements of car insurance for the annual awards because with many providers and packages on offer to consumers, it can be difficult to choose the best product.

This year 11 providers were in contention for the honours and details of their assessments can be found on the Canstar website.

Jose George, Canstar New Zealand general manager, says: “Car insurance is an important purchase for Kiwi households, protecting one of our biggest assets, and our loved ones.

“For Tower to win this award once again shows it is offering a truly quality product to New Zealanders.”
