Ingham buys up in Tauranga

Ingham Motor Group is expanding its footprint in the Bay of Plenty after completing the acquisition of Shorland Peugeot Tauranga.

The dealership is being rebranded as Ingham Tauranga and the existing team is remaining in place to ensure a seamless transition, with Evan Campbell staying on as general manager.

“We’ve developed strong relationships with our customers,” he says. “Becoming a part of Ingham allows us to keep delivering the service and attention our customers value, now backed by additional support and resources.

“We’re all looking forward to what’s ahead. With the strength of the Ingham network behind us, we have the opportunity to build on what we’ve already established and we are excited about what’s to come.”

Trent Ingham, managing director of Ingham Motor Group, regards this addition as a natural extension of the company’s presence in the Bay of Plenty.

“Ingham Tauranga is a valuable asset in our portfolio,” he adds. “This acquisition isn’t just about expanding our reach. It’s about building on the solid foundation the team has already put in place and helping them take it to the next level.

“We’ve always looked to bring in businesses that align well with our values and vision, and Shorland Peugeot Tauranga is an example of that.

“Having seen what they have already accomplished, we believe there’s strong potential for future growth. We’re eager to begin working with Evan and his team.

“We are also keen to broaden our offerings in the dealership, welcoming new brands to give our Tauranga customers even more choice.”

With plans in motion to introduce further marques over the coming months, customers will be able enjoy a wider variety of vehicle options.
