Duncan & Ebbett Hamilton staff celebrate a successful night at the 2026 Jaguar Land Rover New Zealand Retailer of the Year Awards

Duncan & Ebbett Hamilton has reclaimed the supreme title at the 2026 Jaguar Land Rover New Zealand Retailer of the Year Awards, after previously winning the top gong in 2023.

The Waikato dealership collected two other honours by taking out the sales team and experiential team categories at the annual prizegiving.

Jaguar Land Rover New Zealand says the dealership’s hat-trick of awards reflects strength across commercial performance and customer engagement.

Martin Westall, Duncan & Ebbett Hamilton dealer principal, says: “To take out supreme retailer again is something our entire team has worked incredibly hard towards.

“We’ve always believed in what we do here in Hamilton, and to be recognised at this level alongside wins in sales and experiential is a proud moment for everyone at Duncan & Ebbett.

“The benchmark in this network is high and we’re honoured to be the ones setting it this year.”

The dealership took the supreme title off Auckland’s Archibald & Shorter North Shore, which held it in 2024 and 2025.

The Jaguar Land Rover New Zealand (JLR NZ) Retailer of the Year Awards were hosted by Motorcorp Distributors Limited at Shed 10 in Auckland on May 2. The event brought together retailers to celebrate outstanding performance across sales, service, customer experience and leadership.

Archibald & Shorter Greenlane claimed five awards, including best service team and parts team, to be the most decorated dealership of the night.

It celebrated individual honours for some of its employees with Karim Jivani named service adviser of the year and Nick Kumarasinghe crowned sales executive of the year. Mark Neems received the John Fairhall Memorial Award for Emerging Leadership, an annual accolade recognising rising talent within the JLR NZ network.

Ebbett Prestige Tauranga didn’t pick up any trophies but was a finalist in three categories, including supreme retailer, which JLR NZ says reinforces the dealership’s status as one of the most competitive across its network.

Ben Montgomery, general manager of Motorcorp Distributors Ltd, says the results of this year’s awards show the standard across its retailers continues to rise.

“Duncan & Ebbett Hamilton have reclaimed the supreme title, and the numbers behind that win speak for themselves, achieving more than 120 per cent of annual sales targets, the highest net promoter score across the entire retail network, and recognition from our Asia Pacific team for a noticeable uplift in both sales and service,” he adds.

“On top of that, their evolution of the customer experience has set a new benchmark for events across the network. It’s a genuinely outstanding 12 months.

“Archibald & Shorter Greenlane’s consistency across five categories is equally impressive, and we’re proud of every retailer in this network. The competition gets stronger every year, and that’s what drives all of us forward.”
