There was a celebratory mood for the Retailer of the Year Awards held at the Viaduct Events Centre

Duncan and Ebbett Hamilton has been named supreme retailer of the year in Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) New Zealand’s annual awards as well as picking up three other major gongs.

The dealership took out the top prize at the annual Retailer of the Year Awards held to celebrate the achievements of JLR’s network after “a stellar 12 months of sales”.

It achieved more than 110 per cent of its target for new car sales from April 2022 to March 2023, along with notching the highest number of Jaguar sales and the highest net promoter score across the brands’ retail network.

Duncan and Ebbett Hamilton also won the Jaguar retailer of the year category, and JLR’s parts team award and business manager award. It was runner-up for the new car sales team prize.

Archibald and Shorter North Shore and Greenlane, Bayswater European, and Archibald’s Christchurch were also among the winners at the event held at the Viaduct Events Centre on May 20.

Steve Kenchington, chief executive of JLR New Zealand, is full of praise for the efforts of the Duncan and Ebbett Hamilton team.

“Every year we are incredibly proud to celebrate our retail network and award those who have achieved significant results,” he says.

“The dedication and commitment shown by the team at Duncan & Ebbett Hamilton is truly inspiring and one that everyone at Jaguar Land Rover New Zealand is proud of.”

Martin Westall, dealer principal of the Hamilton business, adds his team has worked hard this year and the results speak for themselves.

“Being awarded the supreme retailer of the year and four other recognitions from the retail network is very well deserved for everyone involved,” he continues.

“It is a brilliant way to celebrate our team’s efforts and gives us extra drive for the year ahead.”
