Group lauds top dealers
Christchurch businesses claimed the top two awards as BMW Group New Zealand celebrated last year’s achievements of its network of 10 dealers.
Christchurch BMW was crowned the BMW dealer of the year for 2024 and Christchurch Mini Garage took out the equivalent title for the Mini brand.
Gongs for excellence went to Hawke’s Bay BMW for customer support, Coombes Johnston BMW Tauranga for customer service, Continental Cars BMW Auckland for marketing and Auckland City BMW for financial services.
The winners received their prizes at the group’s annual awards ceremony, which was recently held at the Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tamaki.
The event recognised dealers who last year helped make BMW the country’s best-selling premium automotive brand for the first time in a decade.
Jean-Philippe Parain, senior vice-president of sales regions Asia-Pacific, Eastern Europe, Middle East, and Africa, attended the event to acknowledge the role of dealer partners and their teams in the company’s success domestically and globally.
Adam Shaver, managing director of BMW Group NZ, says the awards celebrate employees and business partners who engage with customers daily and help strengthen the company’s market position.
“Last year presented challenges on many fronts, making it even more important to come together – not only to recognise the exceptional achievements of our retail partners but also to celebrate the collective efforts that have driven our brand’s success,” he adds.
“We know that every link in the chain is essential to our success so a big thank you to every dealer and their teams for their contribution to our business in 2024.
“Their commitment to customer satisfaction, achieving sales targets, marketing and representing our brand with excellence has been instrumental in BMW’s Group’s success – both globally and here in New Zealand.”
