Ford NZ has launched a “comprehensive customer care package” designed to offer Kiwi owners “unmatched” predictability, convenience and cost assurance.
Headlining the initiative is extending the marque’s standard roadside assistance from three to five years for every new vehicle purchased from June 1, as well as pre-paid service plans for the model-year 2026.5 Ranger and Everest.
The services integrate with the brand’s existing five-year warranty, and Ford’s genuine and licensed accessory portfolio.
By combining predictable maintenance, long-term roadside support, manufacturer-backed warranty protection and the ability to personalise vehicles for any lifestyle, the company says it’s delivering an integrated experience built on flexibility and confidence.
“We are a customer-obsessed brand, which means we think far beyond the initial sale,” says Annaliese Atina, managing director of Ford NZ.
“We want to take the stress and unpredictability out of ownership so customers can focus on what matters most – running a business, getting the kids to school or heading off for a weekend getaway.
Aligning our long-term support services is how we deliver on that.”
With the new pre-paid service plans, buyers of a new 2026.5 Ranger or Everest can lock in scheduled costs upfront. The programme allows owners to secure up to four services for a launch price of $499 each to provide cost assurance for up to five years or 60,000km, whichever comes first.
Complementing this, the extension of the blue oval’s standard roadside assistance to five years is effective for all new Fords purchased from June 1.
“Our goal is to meet our customers exactly where they are by providing seamless, worry-free support at every stage of their journey,” says Nina Elson, director of Ford NZ’s customer service division.
“The introduction of pre-paid service plans and extended roadside assistance represents a critical step forward in our ‘servitisation’ strategy. By wrapping these offerings around our existing warranty and accessories portfolio, we’re creating an integrated, customer-first ecosystem.”
Genuine Ford Accessories (GFA) and Ford Licensed Accessory (FLA) allow owners to tailor their vehicles to match their lifestyles, fully backed by warranty benefits when fitted through the marque’s dealer network.
GFA products are official, Ford-branded parts designed and made directly by the company to ensure a “seamless factory-fit” backed its accessory warranty.
When fitted to a new vehicle by an authorised dealer before delivery, GFA and FLA products come with a five-year/150,000km warranty for the Ranger and Transit, and an unlimited distance of five-year warranty for passenger vehicles. If fitted after purchase, they are covered by the rest of the new-vehicle warranty or a 12-month/20,000km parts warranty.
