Getting kitted out
Ford New Zealand has launched an initiative designed to deliver high-quality, integrated vehicle conversions and customisations to strengthen its commercial vehicle line-up.
The company already has two partners on board – Camco and Fleetline – for Ford Pro Converter (FPC) with both having display fit-outs at the blue oval’s Fieldays stand.
Ford NZ says it has identified several core industries where vehicles require specialised, heavy-duty modifications to operate. These include utilities, construction, emergency services, forestry and recreational overlanding.
The FCP programme connects commercial and fleet customers with a national network of Ford-certified conversion specialists.
To achieve approved Ford Pro Convertor status, modifiers undergo a rigorous assessment by the company’s engineers to ensure designs, build quality and installation methods align with strict FPC standards.
After a successful audit, these specialists are certified for specific segments and modification types to provide customers with OEM-grade finishes.
“Every business is unique and our commercial customers require vehicles tailored precisely to their operational needs without compromising on safety, quality or reliability,” says Annaliese Atina, managing director of Ford NZ.
“The programme is designed to deliver exactly that by providing businesses with bespoke, work-ready solutions and peace of mind so they can focus on what they do best.”
Through FPC, customers benefit from high-quality, specialised modifications from expert partners. The certified converter’s warranty duration aligns with Ford’s new-vehicle warranty for protection across the entire vehicle.
“We have meticulously selected and certified our initial Ford Pro Convertors to ensure they meet our world-class standards,” adds Atina.
“By working directly with elite local specialists, we are delivering a streamlined experience that eliminates the traditional after-market hassle, reduces downtime, and ensures every modification integrates seamlessly with our vehicles’ advanced safety and electrical systems.”
While Ford NZ will continue to offer its extensive suite of Ford Genuine Accessories and dealer-fit licensed accessories, FPC complements these options by catering for bespoke, complex and industry-specific conversions.
Its introduction “underscores” Ford NZ’s commitment to its commercial and fleet customers, helping to maximise vehicle uptime, reduce operational costs and boost business productivity.
At launch, approved Ford Pro Convertors are Camco Industries and Fleetline with more joining the programme later this year and offering a broader range of specialised solutions.
