Geneva appoints technology chief

Geneva Finance is welcoming back Sylvester Riddell after appointing him as acting chief technology officer for an initial three-month period.

Riddell, pictured, spent a year with the company in 2016 while performing the implementation of finPOWER Connect, Geneva’s back-end lending system.

He has plenty of other experience in information technology and development in the finance industry, including senior accounting and technology roles with the State Bank of South Australia, Countrywide Bank and Toyota Finance New Zealand.

He spent more than five years at Toyota Finance after joining as a business analyst in 2008 before being promoted to IT manager from November 2011 to March 2014.

Riddell also holds law and commerce degrees and initially spent five years as a patent attorney before moving into the financial management and information technology areas.
