General manager appointed

Avanti Finance has announced the appointment of Lee Robson as general manager – auto for New Zealand, effective immediately.

Robson, pictured, joined the company in February 2022 as national sales manager and has been serving as acting general manager – auto since December 2024.

In his new role, he will lead the automotive division in this country, bringing his strategic vision, industry experience and strong leadership skills to continue advancing Avanti Finance’s “commitment to excellence”. 

His extensive knowledge of the business and dedication to driving results have made him the “perfect choice” to lead the team forward.

Fred Ohlsson, group chief executive officer of Avanti Finance, says: “I’m thrilled to appoint Lee as general manager – auto. His leadership has been invaluable in the acting GM role and we’re excited to see what the future holds under his guidance.” 

Before joining the company in early 2020, Robson was national sales manager at Vertex Oil NZ for one-and-a-half years.

Prior to that, he was with Heartland for six years with his final position there being national sales manager – motor. 

Robson’s other roles with the bank were brand and leasing manager, and financial services manager – motor. He has also worked for Valvoline NZ and Custom Fleet.
