Free TGR festival is back

The popular Toyota Gazoo Racing (TGR) Festival returns on March 25-26 with a weekend of activities at Highlands Motorsport Park in Cromwell.

This year marks the 10th anniversary of the event, which quickly evolved from a Toyota 86 and MR2 owners’ club day in 2013 for all Toyota and Lexus owners and followers to take part in.

A highlight will be the presence of the new performance range, which includes the Supra, Yaris, 86 and Corolla in GR guise.

“We’re passionate about our brands and seeing customers having fun,” says Andrew Davis, general manager of TGR NZ. “The festival gives owners the chance to bring their cars out to show, enjoy and share their passion.

“There will be opportunities to take your car onto the track, put your 4x4 through its paces on a five-hour trek or exhibit stock and modified vehicles.

“Even if you just come to watch, here’s your chance to get on-track. This is a slow cruise when we stop on the main straight, line up all the cars and take our iconic annual festival photo.”

Attendance and parking are free, although registration for track events is a must because numbers are limited. Visit www.toyota.co.nz/toyota-festival to register.
