First for GR Sport

Toyota says the 2025 Corolla Cross “offers something for everyone” and is “a perfect daily commuter, roomy and practical for everyday needs”.
With a two-litre petrol engine paired to the marque’s fifth-generation hybrid technology, the compact SUV “strikes a smart balance between affordability, efficiency, and low running costs”.
Andrew Davis, Toyota NZ’s chief strategic officer, says: “For years, the Corolla has been the go-to for confidence, quality and rock-solid reliability. The Cross takes that legacy and gives it a fresh twist.”
The refreshed 2025 model has a new front bumper and grille design. Buyers can choose from a range of exterior colours across most grades with new shades such as massive grey and ash added. The Limited comes with the option of two tones.
All grades now include vehicle-approach notice, which alerts pedestrians and other road users of the presence of a nearby slow-moving quiet vehicle. Tight parking spots and tricky angles are easier with a full set of parking sensors.
The new Corolla Cross comes with three front-wheel drive options – the GX, GXL and Limited – and, for the first time in New Zealand, an all-wheel-drive GR Sport.
The latter with its exclusive GR styling, sharper handling and more connected driving feel has been designed for those “who want more excitement from their everyday drive”.
