Long-serving industry figure resigns

In an email sent to clients of the company today, JEVIC NZ Ltd states that Euan Philpot has resigned as chief executive officer and director of JEVIC NZ.

The company adds Philpot has also stepped down as director of Vehicle Inspection NZ (VINZ) where he has been chairman of the board since 2013. Both companies are owned by the Optimus Group.

Philpot, pictured, took on the top role at JEVIC NZ in July 2003. He was appointed board chairman and director of VINZ when it was purchased by JEVIC in February 2013.

An email sent out by Kaneyoshi Ikeda, president and managing director of JEVIC Company Ltd, which is based in Yokohama City, states: “Dear clients, Mr Euan Philpot has tendered his resignation and will step down as director / CEO of JEVIC NZ and director of Vehicle Inspection New Zealand (VINZ), effective July 14, 2023. Please contact our Japan office for any enquiries.”
