Enhanced BMWs due in final quarter

BMW has revealed its new M3 sedan and M3 touring have received a number of enhancements and will be launched in New Zealand in the last quarter of this year.
The M TwinPower Turbo six-cylinder engine in the all-wheel-drive offerings delivers 390kW, up from the 375kW achieved by their predecessors.
This brings the M xDrive M3 models into line with the new M4 high-performance Coupe that will also launch later this year.
The M3 Competition with xDrive’s torque remains the same at 650Nm, while drive is sent to all four wheels via an eight-speed M Steptronic transmission with Drivelogic.
As for acceleration, the BMW M3 Competition sedan with M xDrive can achieve the 0-100kph sprint in 3.5 seconds, while the BMW M3 Competition Touring with M xDrive takes 3.6 seconds.
Details of the sedan and touring variants being offered in New Zealand will be revealed in due course but there will be changes to the styling package and digital offerings available in the models coming here.
The local line-up will feature newly designed headlights, new alloy wheels, a steering wheel with a flat-bottom design – derived directly from motorsport, and new trim elements and BMW Operating System 8.5.
M Sport seats will remain as standard equipment for the 330e and M340i bound for showrooms here.
BMW New Zealand says the full model line-up and pricing will be announced in July.
