Dealership in receivership

Auckland Vehicles Ltd has entered receivership just weeks after franchises it held for a number of marques in the city were acquired by another group.

Thomas Rodewald, from Rodewald Consulting, was appointed as receiver of Auckland Vehicles by its director Grant Vincent and other trustees of the Grant Vincent Family Trust on August 9.

The company, which was based on Great South Road, Greenlane, was previously a distributor for Hyundai, Isuzu, Renault, KGM and LDV models.

Winger Motors took over those franchises, but none of the company’s assets, and became the official Auckland dealer for those marques from July 1 this year.

Winger also hired 53 staff members from the business but is unaffected by Auckland Vehicles’ current situation.
