Car dealer group Armstrong’s is joining forces with a charity to help Kiwi children in need stay warm over the cooler months.

The company is working with the Kindness Collective on its “Pyjama Project”, which aims to provide more than 5,000 youngsters with sleepwear.

Armstrong’s is helping by operating as nationwide collection points, facilitating staff and company contributions, and providing the opportunity for customers to assist the cause directly with their own donations of pyjamas or cash.

Troy Kennedy, chief executive officer, says the scheme follows the two organisations working together last year to help people less well off in the lead up to Christmas.

“The past couple of years have presented a variety of significant hurdles for a lot of families, ranging from Covid-associated health concerns, employment issues through to the current cost of living crisis,” he adds.

“For this latest initiative, we’re stepping up and are providing critical support for the Kindness Collective’s ‘Pyjama Project’ for children in need this winter.

“We hope to see our dealerships inundated with PJs and donations, then we can be happy knowing it will be a much better winter for the kids.”
