Daredevil sends Ford flying
The Ford F-150 Raptor may be a versatile ute but the model in the video below met an untimely end when its daredevil driver attempted a 28-metre jump in the vehicle.
The first-generation version of the V8-powered pickup apparently hit the ramp at nearly 100kph before overshooting the landing and crashing hard onto the dirt track.
Its heavy impact caused the airbags to deploy and left the Raptor badly damaged.
Thankfully no one was seriously hurt in the incident, but the clip – one of two angles of the jump – uploaded by YouTube channel Matteson Racing Films in 2013 has been viewed more than 15 million times.
