Clean car standard online hui

Waka Kotahi is holding the first of its webinar sessions on the clean car standard (CCS) on November 17.

The online hui provide opportunities for operators in the automotive industry to have any outstanding questions answered in regard to the government policy, which is being launched on new year’s day.

The first session on the 17th will cover how new-vehicle importers can register for a carbon dioxide (CO2) account, which has to be done by December 1. It will include a demonstration of the CCS system, and time for questions and answers. It runs from 1-2.30pm.

The second will cover the same CO2 account content, but from the used-imports industry’s and parallel importer’s perspective. This is being held from 10.30am until noon on November 18.

These webinars will be followed by two general question-and-answer sessions. The one for the new-vehicle industry will run 11am to noon on November 24. Then it will be the turn of used and parallel importers on the 25th from 9.30-10.30am.

To register, email LowEmissionVehiclesProgramme@nzta.govt.nz and include which session you wish to attend. The transport agency will then reply by email with a link on the day for the correct slot.
