Chiefs sign up Chery
Ingham Hamilton has announced a new chapter in its partnership with the Chiefs Rugby Club by confirming Chery has come on-board as the official vehicle partner for next season.
The deal involves the club using a fleet of the Chinese marque’s Super Hybrids. These vehicles’ fuel efficiency and low emissions will support the Chiefs as they continue to look for practical ways to operate more sustainably across the Waikato.
Now entering its third year supporting the club, Ingham Hamilton says the shift to Chery signals both organisations’ focus on progress and performance.
Matthew Salmon, dealer principal, says: “Chery is an exciting and fast-growing brand in New Zealand, and our team is proud to introduce its Super Hybrid technology to the Chiefs.
“We value our partnership with the organisation. It’s great to support its day-to-day operational needs with vehicles that are modern, efficient and well-suited to the travel demands of a professional club.”
The Chiefs’ chief executive officer, Simon Graafhuis, says: “We’ve enjoyed a strong relationship with the Ingham team and it’s great to continue that partnership with Chery now part of its portfolio. Reliable and economical hybrids are a practical way for us to support our operations while reducing fuel usage.”
The 2025 season saw the Chiefs secure their third consecutive grand-final appearance, continuing a strong run of form for the club.
