Changes target ‘future success’

Stellantis has announced a number of appointments to its leadership team, including Gregoire Olivier becoming head of the company’s China and Asia-Pacific region.
He has been promoted from head of China strategy and previously was also chief operating officer for China from 2021 and responsible for the Stellantis liaison office to Leapmotor.
Olivier, pictured, began his career as a civil servant in the French Ministry of Industry in 1984 and was appointed adviser to the Prime Minister for Industry and Environment in 1990.
He subsequently held a number of leadership roles in metal and electronics businesses, working in Greece and the United States, before joining a French aerospace company.
Stellantis has also announced changes for a number of key roles, including some in Europe, South America, Africa and the Middle East.
Among those changes is Francesco Ciancia rejoining Stellantis from Mercedes-Benz as global head of manufacturing on November 1.
The group notes Ciancia has gained more than two decades of global leadership experience in manufacturing engineering, plant management and lean production system application.
Antonio Filosa, chief executive officer, says: “With these new appointments we are promoting exceptional talent from inside and out to leadership roles as we prepare our business for future success.
“We are also sharpening our regional focus by allocating specific responsibility for our Asia-Pacific and Middle East and Africa organisations at the Stellantis leadership team level.”
