Certified network launched

GM New Zealand has launched a certified collision-repair network with Kawan Collision Repairs in Hastings and West Hamilton Auto Refinishers in Te Rapa being the first to sign up.

A certified network has already been established in the US and Australia, and GM will look to grow it further here to better meet the needs of customers.

Stephen Matthews, general manager of after-sales for GM NZ, says: “Kawan Collision Repairs and West Hamilton Auto Refinishers, pictured, have demonstrated their commitment to exceptional customer service, industry-leading facilities and, most importantly, safe and proper repairs to GM vehicles.

“GM certified collision repairers make use of genuine parts, follow GM-approved procedures, use GM-approved equipment and participate in GM-backed training to help ensure the vehicle is returned to pre-accident condition.

The repairer accreditation is audited annually to ensure high levels are maintained.”

Service providers that have signed up also conduct a full electronic system check after repairs using the same diagnostic equipment and processes as GMSV and Holden service outlets with extra support from General Motors if required.
