CEO becomes executive director

Turners Automotive Group has announced the appointment of Todd Hunter as an executive director of the company.

Hunter, pictured, is now a non-independent director as defined under the NZX’s listing rules and will continue in his role as group chief executive officer.

He has been with Turners for nearly two decades and has served as group CEO since 2016. Under his leadership, the company has delivered growth across its automotive retail, finance and insurance businesses.

Hunter’s appointment to the board reflects Turners’ ongoing commitment to strong governance and alignment between management and shareholders, and for succession and continuity plans for the board.

Chairman Grant Baker says: “Todd’s deep operational insight and proven leadership make him a valuable addition to the board. We look forward to his continued contribution as we execute our strategy to grow shareholder value.”

The appointment will be subject to shareholder approval at the company’s annual meeting on May 26.
