BMW X4 NZ pricing revealed

BMW Group New Zealand has announced local specification and pricing information for the new BMW X4 range.

Available from September 2018, the X4 range will consist of a diesel xDrive20d and petrol powered xDrive30i M Sport X, and the range-topping M40i M Performance model, pictured above.

Respective prices for the three variants are $98,700, $107,500 and $126,500.

BMW xDrive20d uses a 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesel engine, which produces 140kW of power and 400Nm of torque. The diesel variant can travel from 0-100kph in 8.0 seconds and has fuel-economy figures of 5.8l/100km

The xDrive30i M Sport X makes use of a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo petrol engine good which produces 185kW of power and 350Nm of torque, offering a 0-100kph time of 6.3 seconds while using fuel at an average of 7.8l/100km.

While the M40i has a 3.0-litre six-cylinder petrol engine, which produces a maximum power of 265kW and 500Nm of torque. The M40i can go 0-100kph in 4.8 sec and has fuel-economy figures of 9.2l/100km.

The new exterior design is a combination of the design characteristics of a BMW X model with the elegance of a Coupé, according to BMW.

Viewed from the side, the long bonnet, low windscreen, extended wheelbase and coupé-style roofline lend this car a sporting, more elongated overall shape.

Inside the new BMW X4’s interior mirrors the premium layout of the new X3 and 5 Series, with the dashboard and infotainment design carrying over.

As the latest vehicle in this class, the all-new BMW X4 is available with the driver assistance systems for semi-automated driving (Personal CoPilot) that are familiar on the BMW 5 Series and the new BMW X3.

This includes the new-generation active cruise control with stop/go function, the steering and lane control assistants, lane keeping with active side collision protection, and the cross traffic warning and crossroads warning systems.

Orders are now being taken for the new BMW X4, ahead of its New Zealand on-sale date in September.
