Annual showcase for electric vehicles and chargers returns with a line-up of more than 20 models.

BEVs on show for expo

A two-day event showcasing a range of battery electric vehicles (BEVs) is returning to Christchurch on November 23 and 24.

The Take Charge Expo will feature more than 20 zero-emissions models form marques such as BMW, BYD, Cupra, Kia, MG, Omoda, Porsche, Tesla, Volkswagen and Volvo.

Kia’s EV3, pictured, will also be on display to the public for the first time in New Zealand at such an event.

Visitors will also be able to see the technology currently being used in BEVs and Evnex will be displaying one of its electric vehicle chargers.

The show at Te Pae Christchurch Convention Centre will be open from 10am to 5pm on Saturday, November 23, and 9am to 4pm on Sunday, November 24. Entry is free.
