Avanti hires chief risk officer
Avanti Finance has appointed Olivia Meo-Groser, who has more than 15 years’ experience in financial services in New Zealand, Australia, Asia and Europe, as chief risk officer.
Meo-Groser, pictured, will ensure the company’s compliance with regulations and legislation, and lead its risk-management function by making sure legal advice is provided across all business areas.
She joins Avanti Finance from humm group where she was general counsel and head of operational risk for New Zealand, as well as general manager of business performance at group level.
In these roles, Meo-Groser led several critical transformation projects relating to product governance and performance for this country and Australia. Before her time at humm, she held various general-counsel roles.
As chief risk officer of Avanti Finance, she is also responsible for strategic, operational, financial and compliance risks, and supports and develops objectives and growth through leading the credit risk and enterprise risk functions.
