Auto centre opens in Northland

The AA is planning to expand its network of Auto Centres across the country following the reopening of one in Northland.

Whangarei had been without an AA Auto Centre for more than a year and it’s now the association’s northernmost such facility.

Jonathan Sergel, chief mobility officer, says: “We’re thrilled the community there can now access our motoring services without needing to drive a significant distance south towards Auckland.

“With the addition of this AA Auto Centre, we now have 38 throughout New Zealand. I’m also pleased to say plans are well under way for more to open in 2025.”

Services on offer include mechanical repairs, vehicle servicing, warrant of fitness inspections and general workshop facilities.

“Kiwis often get a bit more mileage out of their vehicles over the summer break, so now could be a great opportunity to get a service to ensure it’s still in tip-top condition and ready for the next road trip,” adds Sergel.

“Our teams throughout Auto Centre network, both owned and third-party operated, are committed to providing a friendly and quality service.”
