Subaru used the Japan Mobility Show to reveal two concepts – the Performance-E STI and Performance-B STI.

The E STI, pictured, pairs athletic proportions with aerodynamic efficiency and practicality. Inside, a driver-friendly layout and spacious cabin set the stage for intuitive responses enabled by innovative technologies.

The Performance-B STI blends advanced performance and power with “real-world usability”. By drawing on the marque’s horizontally opposed engine and symmetrical AWD, it aims to lure more buyers into the performance fold.

In addition, Subaru revealed three prototypes at Tokyo Big Sight. The Trail Seeker is the second model in its global BEV line-up, which it says unites precise control and crossover practicality.

The Forester Wilderness’ bumpers, expanded wheel-arch cladding and exclusive LED fog lamps provide tough looks, while enhanced off-road capability and functionality build on its core SUV strengths.

Then there was the Outback Wilderness. It adds further off-road capability and functionality to lift the Outback’s character for the outdoors.
